Day 322 – Potential

2 Kings 4:1 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared JEHOVAH. The creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”

 2 Elisha said to her, “What can I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?”

  She said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”

 3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 4 When you come in, shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”

 5 Then she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out.

 6 Now it happened, when the vessels were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”

  He said to her, “There is not another vessel.” Then the oil ceased.

 7 Then she came and told the man of God. He said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”

God’s names:

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Wind, Breath, Spirit

Theos – Supreme Divinity

Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

Iesous – Jesus

God’s character:

Provider

Many people look at what they have and see only lack, they don’t see the potential. People who succeed, see the potential and make it work in their favor.

The widow woman only saw her circumstances and not the potential until Elisha showed her what she could do with what she had.

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, every promise in Scripture became yours, including the promises of JEHOVAH’S provision for His people. Instead of bemoaning your circumstances, look at what you possess. It might not look like much, only a little oil. However, a little oil in Yeshuwa’s hands can make you rich.

Every Chistian possesses gifts and talents they can use for Yeshuwa’s glory. What gift do you possess? Use it and watch Yeshuwa multiply it for His glory. Don’t lock away your potential. Use it. Fill your vessel with the oil of the Hagios Pneuma and you will see a hundred-fold return on the gift He placed in you.

Philippians 4:19 My Theos will supply everything you need according to His riches in glory by Christos Iesous.

Learn to trust Yeshuwa for everything you need and watch Him multiply and bless you in every area of your life.

Let’s pray: Father, help me see past my circumstances, and see the potential You have for me. Multiply Your blessings in my life as I use the gifts You gave me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
