I love to swim more than any other exercises. I use every muscle with the various swimming strokes. When able, I spend about an hour in the pool swimming laps.
My next favorite exercise is walking. When the weather is pleasant I walk the trail close to my home and can get all my allotted steps. When the weather is too cold, I walk the halls where I live. The halls are long. Nine laps over the three floors equals one mile. I also get all my steps in the nine laps.
Lastly, I have a foot cycle. I work on it between forty-five minutes and an hour plus.
When I can, I go to the Kroc Center for swimming, walking on the walking track, and working on the recumbant bike. Right now, going to the Kroc Center is on hold until my friend can resume her time in the pool. She recently had knee replacement surgery, so it won’t be until after the first of the year before we go again. She’s my ride. I don’t have a car.

If I can do all three of these exercises in one day, I can see the positive results on the scale.
I also enjoy rock painting. Twice a month I go to the Senior Center for rock painting. I’ve been doing that for several years now and have many rocks in my collection. I also give them away.
Rock painting came about one day when I called my friend because I had trouble with the book I was working on. She told me to come there and paint rocks. I was doubtful because I have never been an artist. I guess I only needed to wake up the artist in me. Even my son was impressed and asked me to paint the Millenium Falcon. When I gave it to him, he was impressed with the detail I put in it.

I imagine my most favorite activity would be Bible study and anything connected with God. I attend two Bible studies every week. One on Tuesday morning at my friend’s church, and the other in the third floor lounge where I live twice a month. I also started a prayer group here on Wednesday nights.
Other than those activities, is my writing. I started writing when I was eight years old and changed my focus to publishing after I accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord in 1980. My first book Scarred got its start in November that year and I published it in 2012 after years of editing and revision, raising my children, and learning everything I could about writing.

Today, I also attend Writer’s Guild on the first Tuesday of the month where I get excellent feedback on current books I’m working on. To date, I have nine published books. I have two I’m editing and revising to publish next year, and two more for the following year. I’m also writing three other books.
All of my books are available on Amazon.
Thank you for reading. I would be interested in knowing what your favorite activities and exercises are.
