Day 331 – Salvation

2 Kings 8:7 Then Elisha went to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Syria was sick; it had told him, saying, “The man of Elohiym has come here.”

 8 The king said to Hazael, “Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of Elohiym, and inquire of JEHOVAH by him, saying, ‘Will I recover from this disease?’”

 9 Then Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, of every good thing of Damascus, forty camel-loads; and he came and stood before him, and said, “Your son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Will I recover from this disease?’”

 10 Elisha said to him, “Go, say to him, ‘You will recover.’ However, JEHOVAH has shown me he will die.”

 11 Then he set his countenance in a stare until he was ashamed; and the man of Elohiym wept.

 12 Hazael said, “Why is my JEHOVAH weeping?”

  He answered, “Because I know the evil you will do to the children of Israel: Their strongholds you will set on fire, and their young men you will kill with the sword; and you will dash their children, and rip open their women with child.”

 13 Then Hazael said, “What is your servant—a dog, that he should do this gross thing?”

  Elisha answered, “JEHOVAH has shown me you will become king over Syria.”

 14 Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, “What did Elisha say to you?”

  He answered, “He told me you would recover.”

 15 However, it happened on the next day that he took a thick cloth and dipped it in water and spread it over his face so that he died; and Hazael reigned in his place.

Elohiym – Supreme God

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH Rapha – Healer

Christos – Anointed One, Messiah

Iesous – Jesus

Kurios – Supreme Authority

Theos – Supreme Divinity

Hagios Pneuma – Sacred, Holy, Mighty Wind, Breath, Spirit

Salvation

When people become terminally ill, they want to believe a cure will be found and they will recover.

Elisha went to Ben-Hadad because he learned he had become ill. Ben-Hadad sent Hazael with a gift for Elisha to find out if he would recover. Elisha said he would, but he also said Hazael would kill him and do abominable things as king of Syria.

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you learned you had a terminal illness, sin. Scripture says you were dead in trespasses and sin before you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord.

Ephesians 2:1 You He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

Your cure for sin is the blood of Yeshuwa Christos. However, Satan would have you believe your salvation wasn’t real and you are still dead in sin.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Theos is eternal life in Christos Iesous our Kurios.

Everyone suffers from sin and will die in their sin unless they accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord.

Romans 3:23 for everyone has sinned and fall short of the glory of Theos,

However, when you accepted Yeshuwa, His blood cured you and brought you salvation. You will not face eternal death, but eternal life. You confessed your sin and Yeshuwa healed you.

Romans 10:8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Kurios Iesous and believe in your heart that Theos has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.”

Satan wanted to put a wet cloth over your face so you would die in your sin and not receive eternal life. Before you accepted Yeshuwa, he kept you as far from salvation as he could. He blinded you, suffocated you, and turned you away from every hope of salvation. However, the Hagios Pneuma worked in you to bring you to salvation so that now you no longer fear eternal death because you have life flowing through you.

Yeshuwa provides the cure. You only need to accept His cure for your salvation.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for providing Your Son for my salvation. I no longer live in fear of eternal separation from You but live with the hope of eternal life. Help me praise You every day for my salvation and not take Your gift for granted but live in the hope of eternal life with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
