Daily writing prompt
Describe your most ideal day from beginning to end.

My most ideal day would be a day when I would have time to do everything I need and want to do.

  1. I would wake refreshed after eight hours of delightful sleep.
  2. I would get all my pre-work done on the computer – interacting with people on my blog site and here.
  3. Work on the book I need to edit and get ready to publish this year.
  4. Have time to relax, walk the trail or hallway to get my daily step goal.
  5. Spend time with friends and family.
  6. Find I’ve lost weight when I step on the scale.

Why all this matters to me.

  1. I rarely get enough sleep at night. I toss and turn all night long. A typical night sleep is between four and six hours each night. If I’m lucky, I get closer to eight hours. I need to be extra tired to come close to eight hours.
  2. I work on a blog site to earn a little extra money each month and meet new friends. I am on WordPress to have a website to promote my books, and interact with you and make new friends here.
  3. I love to write. I’ve been writing most of my life. I want to learn as much as I can about writing and provide joy for readers in the books I write. I don’t write them alone. My website name is author4jesus3.com. Jesus inspires me and gives me the words to write every book I work on. I write for His glory, not mine.
  4. I love read, watch TV, walk the trails when the weather is nice, or the hallways when it’s too cold to walk outside. When I do, I always meet people, laugh and enjoy the friendships I have with others. I also play cards with friends where I live. We gather every week for a couple of hours of laughter and enjoyment. I started reading when I was six. I have six bookshelves of friends I enjoy reading over and again.
  5. I have children and grandchildren I want to spend time with daily, if not in person, then with a phone call. It doesn’t always happen, but it would be ideal to have one on one time with my kids.
  6. I need to lose weight. I started my weight loss journey in 2016 when I weighed a heft 255 pounds. I lost 80 pounds before I had my knee replacement surgery in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. I’ve since gained some of it back and I’m fighting to lose it again. I’ve lost thirty of what I gained and have another twenty to lose before I’m at the point where I was in 2020. I need to continue from that point to my ideal weight – another fifty pounds easily, perhaps more. I’m working on it. It’s a daily struggle. To make that goal happen, I changed how I ate, three times. I’m now on the blood type diet which is working well for me.

This would be my ideal day: getting all my goals done and spending quiet time with myself at the end of the day with a good book or television.

What does your ideal day look like? Thanks for reading.
