Today has been a wonderful day. I’m especially looking forward to tonight when the snow starts. They’re calling for over five inches of wonderful snow. Yes, I love winter and snow. I’ve loved it all my life.

I’m the one with the huge smile on my face next to the snowman. The picture says February 1959, making me six years old, my brother five, and my sister, three. She’s not at all happy sitting there in the snow. Me, I couldn’t be happier.

I set myself a goal today to get all my steps in the hallways.

Here you can see how long the hallways are in the building I live in. This is the main hallway. There are also two wings.

The first picture is the stairwell hallway, and the other looks from the end of the short wing to the corner with the chair and corner table. As you can see, I can get a lot of steps in one walk through the halls. Multiply that by 19 laps around the three floors, and I have over 13K steps for the day.

I’m also thankful for the work I did on my book today, Faith to Believe. I edited a chapter and have the cover made for it.

I found the original picture on Pixabay.com and created the cover on Canva. I think it’s absolutely stunning. I can’t wait until I have the book finished and in print. I’m halfway through the editing. Then I will have someone read and proof it for me before I go through it again and then the final edit when I start the publishing process. All my books are available on Amazon.com. You can see them on my website here.

I also spent a lovely hour with my neighbor watching television. I’ll be watching her dog tonight as she spends Friday night with her 98 year old sister. With all she helps me with, watching Missy is no problem.

This is Missy. Cute, isn’t she?

I have much to be thankful for with a beautiful place to live, food on my table, and wonderful friends here.

I also have a wonderful family. I don’t see my younger son as often as I would like. He’s the one closest to me. My daughter lives in Texas close to my granddaughter and her children. I have an older son. However, we’re estranged. His choice.

Here is my son and daughter before she moved to Texas. This was Mother’s Day before I moved to the complex I’m in now. You can see he’s having fun with Mom.

Okay, there’s a snapshot of my day, where I live and my family. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. I would love to hear about your day in the comments below.
