Are you patriotic? What does being patriotic mean to you?

Yes, I’m patriotic. I joined the Navy when I was 18 years old. It was the most rewarding time of my life.

It bothers me when I see people standing with arms at their sides when the flag passes by or they sing the National Anthem. It makes me wonder why people don’t love their country. Yes, I know the problems we have. However, doesn’t every country have problems? It doesn’t mean you shun your country, but you fight for her, honor her, and respect those who hold leadership roles from the president of the United States to the police officers who patrol your streets.

I love my country. I will always salute the flag, sing the National Anthem with all my might, and pray for my leaders as God’s Word says we’re supposed to do.
