Day 41 – Temple

Ezra 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of JEHOVAH by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, JEHOVAH stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying, 2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The kingdoms of the earth JEHOVAH Elohiym of heaven has given me. He commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you among His people? May his Elohiym be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of JEHOVAH Elohiym of Israel (He is Elohiym), which is in Jerusalem. 4 Whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of Elohiym which is in Jerusalem.

5 Then the heads of the fathers’ houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, with those whose spirits Elohiym had moved, arose to go up and build the house of JEHOVAH which is in Jerusalem.

6 Those around them encouraged them with articles of silver and gold, with goods and livestock, and with precious things, besides everything that was willingly offered.

7 King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of JEHOVAH, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his elohiym; 8 and Cyrus king of Persia brought them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer and counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah.

9 This is the number of them: thirty gold platters, one thousand silver platters, twenty-nine knives, 10 thirty gold basins, four hundred and ten silver basins of a similar kind, and one thousand other articles.

11 The gold and silver articles were five thousand four hundred. These Sheshbazzar took with the captives who were brought from Babylon to Jerusalem.

God’s character:

Instructor

Promise Keeper

When someone instructs you to do something, they provide the necessary tools and equipment to get the job done.

King Cyrus issued a proclamation for the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem and told the Jews that anyone who wanted to rebuild could go and would have everything they needed to rebuild the temple and offer sacrifices to JEHOVAH Elohiym.

As children of Elohiym, He gives you instructions through His Word about everything you need to know to follow Him. He provides the Hagios Pneuma to be with you and teach you everything you need to know to do His work. When He instructs you to go to the nations, He provides the means for you to go and promises to be with you always.

Matthew 28:19 “Go, therefore, and make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Pater and of the Huios and of the Hagios Pneuma, 20 teaching them to observe everything I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Yeshuwa’s promises are yea and amen. He not only tells you to go, He provides everything you need and promises to be with you.

King Cyrus provided everything the children of Israel needed to rebuild the temple and returned the articles of the temple back to them. Then he instructed everyone in the land to help them with anything they needed to rebuild the temple.

You have a temple to build and furnish with everything you need to do His will and live your life according to Yeshuwa’s Word. Your body is the temple. The Hagios Pneuma not only lives in you, but He also helps you build Your temple to glorify Yeshuwa in everything you do.

Is your temple broken down? Time to repair your temple so you can bring glory to the Pater. Yeshuwa gives you the building supplies, His Word. He will also instruct other believers to work alongside you to build your temple. He does that through Bible study, attending church, and spending time in prayer. You have every tool you need. Just as King Cyrus provided everything the children of Israel needed to rebuild the temple, Yeshuwa provides everything you need to rebuild your broken walls.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for providing everything I need to rebuild my temple. Let my life glorify You as I rebuild my temple and give You praise for everything You do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
