Daily writing prompt
Do you believe in fate/destiny?

The easy answer is no.

Believing in fate or destiny is putting your life in a state of constant chance. Like playing a roulette wheel. Life is not a gamble or chance. Your fate isn’t bound up on omens and whether you wake up happy, sad, indifferent, or any thing that you might tell yourself will make for a good day or life.

No, my life is based on my belief in Jesus as my Savior and Lord. When I placed my life in His hands, I trusted Him for the outcome every day. I know what my ‘destiny’ is because His Word tells me that in Him is life and that more abundantly. John 10:10. He leads me to good pastures and fresh waters, giving me food to eat and water to drink. Psalm 23. He supplies everything I need according to His riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

His promises to me are yea and amen. I don’t need to worry if the sun doesn’t shine because it’s raining. Rain doesn’t change who I am in Jesus. Neither does the sun. Nothing in this life is a guarantee of happiness. My joy comes from knowing I belong to the KING of KINGS and the LORD of LORDS.
