Daily writing prompt
What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

You’ve all been there. You sit across from the interviewer and wait for the questions to start. You believe you’re ready. You even practiced with other people to prepare you for the interview for the job you know you’re perfect for. And then the interviewer asks the one trick question with the caveat that there is no right or wrong answer.

Do you remember the blank state of your mind when asked that question? Do you remember the clamminess of your palms, the sweat forming on your forehead? Do you remember asking yourself – How do I respond to the question without revealing my life story? Remember?

What you don’t remember is anything that followed when suddenly you were shaking hands and being escorted out of the room with a smile on the interviewers face.

You walk out hoping you answered the question correctly. You get into your car and wonder how you answered the question. Then you remember. It comes back to you in a flash and you hang your head against the steering wheel, knowing you blew it, and head to the only place that will give solace to your tattered soul.
