There are many words that describe me as I’m certain also describe you. I have a stubborn nature. I go after what I want like a bulldog with a bone.
I’m friendly. The Bible says if you want friends, you need to show yourself friendly. I do.
I’m creative. I paint rocks and write. I’m also a seamstress, though I’ve put away the needle and thread.
With so many ways to describe who I am, I would need to say the one that stands out is Persistence. My stubborn nature sees to that. I don’t let go of anything until I succeed at what I’m doing. I can’t let go. My stubborn nature won’t let me. Therefore, I persist on doing everything in my ability to accomplish what I set out to do.
When I look back on my life, I would need to go back to fourth grade when my mother looked at my report card and told me I couldn’t do better. My stubborn nature rose to disagree and my persistence paid off when I graduated from high school in the top third of my class and I was points away from honors when I graduated from college.
My persistence also saw my first book published 32 years after I penned the first word on notebook paper. I never gave up on becoming an author. I’m not giving up my dream of becoming a recognized best-selling author. I have it in me. I always hope the next novel will do it for me. The five-star reviews I get show me it’s possible.
What one word describes you? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image is my high school graduation picture, proving that all things are possible when you apply persistence to your life.
