Good afternoon from a nice sunny day in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. Currently it’s 36 F. It was supposed to get to 40 F and I think it did. I woke up this morning to snow on the ground. 😀😁
Waking up with snow on the ground after a day and night of rain, was wonderful and added to my thankfulness for today.
I’m thankful for the scale which showed a nice loss. It’s been a battle to get the water weight off since the delicious St. Patrick’s Day meals two days in a row a couple of weeks ago. I have lost a total of 5 pounds of water weight of the seven I gained, so I’ll take it.
I’m thankful I found a receipt I need every two years when I need to get the battery replaced on my watch. I know many people don’t wear watches anymore. They have phones and fitness bands to help them with their time needs. I’ve worn a watch since I received one for Christmas when I was in eighth grade. 1969 I think. My current watch is a Seiko I got many years ago. Kay Jewelers offers a buy the first battery and receive a new one free for the life of your watch. Seiko is trustworthy. I don’t see this one dying anytime soon, so a free battery every two years for the life of the watch is well worth it. As for finding the receipt, I tore the entire apartment apart finding it. Of course it was in the last box I looked in after looking for three hours.
I’m thankful for getting my FoodShare (Food Stamps) form filled out and turned into Social Services this morning. I need to do that every six months. I also went to the hearing aid place at the same time to have my left hearing aid fixed as it was hurting my ear. The doctor didn’t have anyone in the office at the time so he could take care of the hearing aid. It’s much better. He filed it down a little bit.
I’m thankful for my neighbor who also needed to get things done this morning and could take me to get those two things done, then it was off to the grocery store. She needed to use the money on her UCard for the insurance company before it expired at midnight tonight and she lost the money on the card. The card will refill tomorrow. We have the same insurance company. I used the money on my card a long time ago. I’ll be glad for the refill tomorrow. I also got a few groceries. I didn’t need much. However, they did have the orange juice I like, so I got more of it to get rid of the remaining cold.
I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. It’s reading well. I’m thinking about taking the first chapter again tomorrow to Writer’s Guild as I’ve made a lot of changes to it. My friends here liked the changes and said it’s very good. So, we’ll see what happens tomorrow.
Okay that’s my day and why I’m thankful. What are you thankful for today? I hope you have much to be thankful about. Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Another of my thankful plaques.
Tomorrow is a full day. I don’t know how much I will be here as most of the day will be away from home with Bible study in the morning and Writer’s Guild in the afternoon/early evening.
