First would be my time with Jesus in His Word. Beginning each day in Bible study and ending each day reading/listening to His Word brings me joy unspeakable and full of glory. A day without Jesus is a day without life.
The second thing that brings me joy is writing. I’ve been writing since I was a child. Nothing gives me more happiness than creating a new story. When I started working on books to publish, I realized I couldn’t write a single word without God giving me the words to write.
Third, there’s nothing like a good hot cup of tea to bring joy and happiness to my day. It instills peace and tranquility when the world around me is going nuts.
Fourth would be my stuffed animals. I’ve been collecting stuffed animals for a long time. They give me a sense of childhood I never want to leave behind.
Fifth would be rock painting. Like a good cup of tea, and writing, I find not only pleasure in creating a work of art, I find joy and happiness with other people engaged in the same thing. There’s peace and quiet in my soul when I complete a work of art.
