Day 88 – Worthy

Job 25:1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered and said, 2 “Dominion and fear belong to Him; He makes peace in His high places. 3 Is there any number to His armies? Upon whom does His light not rise? 4 How then can man be righteous before Elohiym? Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman? 5 If even the moon does not shine, and the stars are not pure in His sight, 6 how much less man, who is a maggot, and a son of man, who is a worm?”

God’s names:

Elohiym – Supreme God

Yeshuwa – Jesus

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Adown – Lord, Master

God’s character:

Righteous

Many people not only believe they are worthless, but also believe the entire human race is worthless. Religions exist that teach people aren’t real.

Bildad saw people as nothing more than worm food. He told how Elohiym is above everyone and said man was nothing in His sight.

The psalmist and king of Israel, David, put it another way.

Psalm 8:1 (To the Chief Musician. On the instrument of Gath. A Psalm of David.) O JEHOVAH, our Adown, how excellent is Your name in the entire earth, who set Your glory above the heavens!

2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You ordained, 4 what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?

5 For You made him a little lower than the angels, and You crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet, 7 sheep and oxen—even the beasts of the field, 8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas.

9 O JEHOVAH, our Adown, how excellent is Your name in the entire earth!

As children of Yeshuwa, you know you aren’t a worm or maggot. You know you belong to the Adown. Elohiym loved you so much, He sent His son, Yeshuwa, to die for you. You are not a worm, not even a maggot.

How do you see yourself in Yeshuwa’s eyes? Do you see yourself as Bildad saw people, or do you see yourself as David did? You are worthy because JEHOVAH said you are worthy and showed it by sending His Son to be your Savior.

It’s time to live in the truth of Yeshuwa’s Word. You are worthy! Never doubt or believe the lies Satan would tell you about your unworthiness. Yeshuwa’s blood made you worthy. Hold your head up and praise Him for dying for you and ushering you into His kingdom. Tell yourself you are worthy every day. When Satan brings doubt, shout aloud that you are worthy. Don’t let anyone tell you that you are nothing but worm food. If that was all you were, JEHOVAH would not have created man on the sixth day and given him dominion over His creation.

Genesis 1:26 Then Elohiym said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over the entire earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 Then Elohiym created man in His own image; in the image of Elohiym He created him; male and female He created them.

28 Then Elohiym blessed them, and Elohiym said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

You are worthy!

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for loving me so much that you created me in Your image and gave me dominion over Your creation. Thank you for loving me so much You sent Your Son to die for me. Thank you for making me worthy through the blood of Your Son on Calvary’s cross. Let me praise You every day because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and every day of my life is written in Your book. I give You praise. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
