Good evening from Draft City – Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. Currently it’s 49 F and feels like 38 F. I can believe it. The breeze is a bit raw.
I have much to be thankful for today. First I must apologize for not being here as much as I hoped. I’ll need to catch up tomorrow.
I’m thankful for the sleep I got last night. I’m not sure how much I got. I know it wasn’t 8 hours. I went to bed just before midnight and was up by six.
I’m thankful for the shopping I did today. I needed to use my UCard before the end of the month and there was only one place that would allow me to use it the way I needed to – Walmart. As much as I don’t like that store, it was my only option this morning. I got the food I needed and I bought a new hoodie a NFL Green Bay Draft hoodie in sage green. I’ll wear it through the weekend and then put it in the closet until the actual season starts in September. I also wanted cheesy potato broccoli soup. I looked at the label for one in the store and got the ingredients to make my own. It’s simple to make and doesn’t have the sodium the store bought version would. I ended up going back to the grocery store for lemon pepper. I needed it for the soup.
I’m thankful for Canasta today. We played regular Canasta with eight people and two tables of four. My table won a game apiece. Lots of fun.
I’m thankful for my friends whom I invited to enjoy the soup with me. They loved it. It turned out great. I also had blueberry muffins for dessert and ice cream which we enjoyed while we watched television together. It was a perfect evening.
I’m thankful for the walk along the trail today after Canasta. Everything is greening up well. We need more rain for the creek though. I wore my new hoodie and a winter Packers cap to keep my ears warm in the raw breeze. So, I’m thankful I have all my steps and heart points.

Okay, that’s my day. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The images belong to me.
