Day 102 – Protection

Psalm 3:1 (A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son.) JEHOVAH, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise against me. 2 Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in Elohiym.” Selah

3 But You, O JEHOVAH, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts my head. 4 I cried to JEHOVAH with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Selah

5 I lay down and slept; I awoke, for JEHOVAH sustained me. 6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me everywhere. 7 Arise, O JEHOVAH; save me, O my Elohiym! For You struck my enemies on the cheekbone; You broke the teeth of the ungodly. 8 Salvation belongs to JEHOVAH. Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah

Where do you turn when trouble hunts you? Who is the first person you contact for help?

David fled from his son, Absalom, when he tried to take the kingdom away from him. He turned to JEHOVAH. David prayed and sought Him and His protection and salvation. He knew Elohiym heard his prayers and would help him. David knew his salvation came from one place, JEHOVAH.

When Satan comes against you, where do you turn? Do you seek Yeshuwa’s help? Do you know He is your only hope against Satan? As Christians, your source of hope and protection is found only in Yeshuwa. David didn’t seek prayer support for the trouble Absalom brought against him. He went directly to his source, JEHOVAH. His total trust was in Elohiym. Your total trust should be in Yeshuwa. He is the only one who can save you from Satan’s attacks. He will protect you, listen to you, and sustain you when your physical strength wains. Yeshuwa IS your salvation. You can trust Him in every attack Satan brings against you. He will fight for you.

Remember, the battle belongs to JEHOVAH.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for being my help and shield against Satan. When he comes against me, let me remember to call on You for Your protection. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
