Good evening from a cool, wet, Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was raining when I got up this morning at 5 AM. It’s still cloudy, but the rain has stopped. It’s 43 F right now. It got up to 46 F today.

Today was a good day, but not one I want to repeat anytime soon.

I was very thankful when I left the hospital this morning. I knew they would draw blood today. So, my one and done poke didn’t happen. They couldn’t draw blood as they hoped. The lab tech needed to call another person to draw the blood. She got it started, but the blood just stopped. They also needed to poke twice for the IV. So, altogether four pokes. Two for the IV and two for the blood draw. The IV was finished before the blood was successfully drawn. I hate needles. The half hour appointment took an hour and a half. I repeat this in six weeks. Not the blood draw though. That’s twice a year. I have tiny crooked veins. I’m not an easy poke.

I’m thankful for Canasta today. We had eight people and two tables. My table played two games. It was a fun afternoon.

I’m thankful I also got my walking done. I have just over my minimum quota for steps and heart points. So, I’m good with that.

I’m also thankful I wasn’t hungry today. I also stuck with my diet plan. I weighed in at 195. I weigh myself again in one month. We’ll see how this works out. I have a lot to lose. I did Whole30 in 2016 and lost 30 pounds the first year. I lost a total of 80 pounds before I gained some back and almost started over. Right now, I’ve lost 30 of what I gained back. I don’t have a before picture, so I’ll go with this one.

I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. It’s coming along well.

My neighbor and I started watching a new show tonight. One that was easy to get tangled up in. It’s an English show starring David McCallum from 1979 called Sapphire and Steel. Each episode is 25 minutes long. It’s suspenseful.

Okay, that’s my day. Eventful to say the least. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The images belongs to me.
