I’m not a good follower unless it’s as a follower of Jesus Christ. I like to lead. I’m the person who arrives twenty minutes to an hour early for everything. I’m the person who loves to do the planning, depending on what I’m planning. I’m not an event planner. I’ll gladly follow someone else in that category. However, when it comes to everything else, I lead. I like being first, at the head of the line. I’m also prepared. So, I make a better leader than a follower. However, there are times when I would rather sit back and watch someone else take charge.
One thing that’s hard is not having a car and depending on someone else to get me where I need to go. That means I also need to realize that person might not be an early person. My friend who picks me up for rock painting and Writer’s Guild is an early person. She picks me up between 9 and 9:30 when rock painting starts at noon. She picks me up at 3:30 when Writer’s Guild starts at 5:30. I don’t mind that because it fits in with my being early.
Being early also means the early bird is the one in charge, the leader. So, my entire lifestyle is geared for leadership, not follower, except as I said at the beginning, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ.
Are you a leader or follower. Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
