Day 119 – Trust
Psalm 20:1 (To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.) May JEHOVAH answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the Elohiym of Jacob defend you; 2 may He send you help from the sanctuary and strengthen you out of Zion; 3 may He remember your offerings and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
4 May He grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill your purpose. 5 We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our Elohiym we will set up our banners! May JEHOVAH fulfill your petitions.
6 Now I know that JEHOVAH saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of JEHOVAH our Elohiym. 8 They bowed down and fell; but we rose and stood upright. 9 Save, JEHOVAH! May the King answer us when we call.
God’s names:

Elohiym – Supreme God
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Defender
Helper
Savior

Some people work a lifetime without fulfilling their heart’s desire. They face trouble from every direction while others with the same goals and aspirations as themselves see their hopes and desires fulfilled. What sets them apart?
David knew who to turn to when trouble came his way. He prayed and sought JEHOVAH’S face. He brought his troubles to Him and watched Elohiym bring victory in his life. He saw his desires fulfilled because he depended on JEHOVAH. He knew the same happened to everyone who trusted in Elohiym.
What sets them apart? Yeshuwa. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, He set you apart to Himself and fought your battles and brought you victory against Satan when you trusted Him and brought your troubles to Him. However, when you leaned on yourself as the world does, He stood by and waited until you remembered to seek His face in your trouble.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in JEHOVAH with your whole heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
When you read and study your Bible daily, you will know what Yeshuwa will do for you against your enemy, Satan. He will defend you with His righteous right hand. He will bring you out of every trouble you face.
Psalm 121:1 (A Song of Ascents.) I will lift my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from JEHOVAH, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 JEHOVAH is your keeper; JEHOVAH is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun will not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 JEHOVAH will preserve you from every evil; He will preserve your soul. 8 JEHOVAH will preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
There is nothing Yeshuwa will not do for you when you trust Him to take care of you in every situation you face, and every scheme Satan brings against you.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for sending Your Son to be my Savior. Thank you that I can call on You when Satan comes against me. Let me see victory in my life as I depend on and trust in You to keep me safe. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
