Day 121 – Preparation
Psalm 24:1 (A Psalm of David.) The earth is JEHOVAH’S, and its entire fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. 2 For He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. 3 Who may ascend into JEHOVAH’S the hill? Or who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He will receive blessing from JEHOVAH, and righteousness from the Elohiym of his salvation. 6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face. Selah
7 Lift your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the Melek of glory will come in. 8 Who is this Melek of glory? JEHOVAH strong and mighty, JEHOVAH mighty in battle. 9 Lift your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the Melek of glory will come in. 10 Who is this Melek of glory? JEHOVAH of hosts, He is the Melek of glory. Selah

How do you prepare to go into the presence of a person of importance? What preparations do you make?
David showed what kind of person could come into JEHOVAH’S presence. He needs:
- Clean hands
- Pure heart
- Not lifted his soul to an idol
- Not sworn deceitfully
David also showed that the gates of Jerusalem needed to be ready to receive her King.
It might seem impossible for people to stand in JEHOVAH’S presence. However, when you accepted Yeshuwa as Soter and Lord, His blood cleansed you and made you acceptable in JEHOVAH’S sight. He sees nothing impure about you.
How do you prepare for Yeshuwa’s presence?
- Spend time in Bible study. Read your Bible daily. Don’t only read it. Study it.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- Prayer. Prayer isn’t hard. It’s praying for your loved ones, those who ask for prayer, when you see an accident on the road, when you watch the news and hear horror stories from around the world. It’s praying for everyone.
1 Timothy 2:1 Therefore, I exhort first that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and those in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of Theos our Soter, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
- Go to Bible study. When you spend time with others with more maturity than you in Yeshuwa’s Word, you will grow from your need for the milk of the Word to the meat of the Word.
Hebrews 5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of Theos; and you need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 However, solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
- Go to church. When you assemble often with other believers, you prepare your heart and mind for what Yeshuwa wants you to learn.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 Let us consider one another to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
- You also prepare your home. When people enter your home, they should feel Yeshuwa’s presence in peace, what you listen to, what you focus on. They will know your love is genuine and you spend time with Yeshuwa.
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this everyone will know you are My disciples if you love one another.”
When you follow these steps, you will find blessings from Yeshuwa. You will find joy in His presence and hear His voice and direction for your life.
What do you need to do so people will know you’re a Christian? What do you need to do so Yeshuwa knows you belong to Him? Not everyone who calls Him Kurios will enter the kingdom of Theos.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Kurios, Kurios,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Pater in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Kurios, Kurios, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
You need to prepare your heart, mind, and life so everyone, including Yeshuwa, will know you belong to Him.
Let’s pray: Father, let everything I say, do, and think show I belong to You. Let me worship You as KING of Kings and LORD of Lords. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
