Day 126 – Confidence
Psalm 27:1 (A Psalm of David.) JEHOVAH is my light and my salvation; whom will I fear? JEHOVAH is the strength of my life; of whom will I be afraid? 2 When the wicked came against me to eat my flesh, my enemies and foes stumbled and fell. 3 Though an army may encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war should rise against me, in this I will be confident. 4 One thing I desired of JEHOVAH, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of JEHOVAH throughout the days of my life, to behold the beauty of JEHOVAH, and to inquire in His temple. 5 For in the time of trouble He will hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle, He will hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. 6 Now my head will be lifted above my enemies surrounding me; therefore, I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to JEHOVAH.
7 Hear, O JEHOVAH, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me and answer me. 8 When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, JEHOVAH, I will seek.” 9 Hide not Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; do not leave me nor forsake me, O Elohiym of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then JEHOVAH will take care of me. 11 Teach me Your way, O JEHOVAH, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. 12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses rise against me, and such as breathe out violence. 13 I would lose heart, unless I had believed I would see the goodness of JEHOVAH in the land of the living. 14 Wait on JEHOVAH; be of good courage, and He will strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on JEHOVAH!

Do you ever wonder how some people can exude confidence when their life looks like a mess?
David’s life was one war after another. His enemies surrounded him. Yet, he had confidence in only one place, JEHOVAH. He knew that no matter what happened, JEHOVAH would deliver him, and he would go to the tabernacle again to worship Him.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, did you have confidence that He would keep you safe from your enemies? Or did you forget your commitment to Him and went about your life in your usual manner? Those Christians who make a commitment to Yeshuwa, spend their time in His presence. They go to church, read their Bibles, go to Bible study, and pray often. Their confidence is in Yeshuwa and His promise to keep them safe from Satan’s schemes against them. They recognize when Satan comes against them and call out to Yeshuwa for the help He promised them. Those who don’t see their prayers answered soon lose faith in Yeshuwa’s promises, skip church, prayer, and Bible study, and tell everyone they will pray on their own, but never do, spend time with Yeshuwa in their homes, but never do. Then they wonder where Yeshuwa is and why He doesn’t keep them safe in times of trouble.
If your life is one of chaos, return to Yeshuwa. Seek His face. Stop relying on your strength and rely on Him to help you. Your life isn’t your own when you accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord. Your life belongs to Yeshuwa.
David prayed often, went to the tabernacle as often as he could, and when he couldn’t, prayed for JEHOVAH’S help and guidance against his enemies.
David is your example on how to live a life grounded in Yeshuwa. Pray, seek His face, go to church, and Bible study. Only then will you see Yeshuwa’s blessings in your life and know His answers to your prayers. Only then will you have the same confidence David had when his enemies surrounded him. Your enemy is Satan. Don’t let him have the upper hand in your life.
Let’s pray: Father, let me be Your child, not only in word, but in fact. Let my prayers come often into Your presence. Let me see Your faithfulness to me when Satan comes against me. Bless me because I trust in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
