In a day when life is all about texting, people rarely talk to one another, actually speak face to face or ear to ear on the phone if face to face isn’t possible. Texting is the easy way out. You can text on your time. However, nothing compares to getting together and speaking to one another.
Who do I want to talk to soon? These two in the picture. My son and his girlfriend. However, both have busy lives and a text is more than I can hope for on a good day.
My daughter is another person I would love to speak to in person. I had the opportunity last month when she came back for a visit. She lives in Texas, so face to face isn’t possible. However, she also is a busy person and text is the best way to ‘talk’ to her.
Children are the heartbeat of my life, but speaking to them is difficult with the hectic lives they lead. The best I can do is text, and hope they answer that.
