Good evening from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s 65 F. We got to 66 F today.

Today is Memorial Day in the US. It’s a day we celebrate the sacrifice our friends and family made in the name of freedom. My family has a military history on my mother’s side of the family with her brothers all serving in the military, Army and Navy. They all came home. Though I know that’s not the case for many families who decorate the graves of their loved ones today who did make the ultimate sacrifice. I salute you.

I have much to be thankful for today.

I’m thankful to be alive on this beautiful day in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I enjoyed a good walk on the trail. I went a little farther today. I walked to the park past the wooded section of the trail. I don’t go that far often because it really is a WALK for this 71 almost 72 year old. I had 9000+ steps when I got home. I’m over 10K right now.

I’m thankful for food in my fridge. It’s getting to the end of the month and my fridge looks like it. I’ve been on this Whole30 diet now for 26 days. Though I have food in pantry, it’s not on the diet plan. I’m doing my best to stay with it. Only six days to the first and I can buy groceries again. I will need to plan better next month if I’m going to stick with this plan for another month, which is my goal. The gluten free pasta and oatmeal will just need to wait another month, maybe two. Right now, I can’t believe I stuck to this diet for a full year back in 2016. We’ll see what the scale says on June first.

I’m thankful I could be here with you this morning and again now. Reading your posts puts a smile on my face.

I’m thankful for a quiet day. Most of my life I’ve been a loner type of person. I don’t need to have people around me all the time. Sometimes I like my own company. Today was one of those days.

I didn’t work on Firestorm today. I opened it up and went into research mode, I really can’t move forward with the story until I do a lot more research on it. Time to work on Faith to Believe. I really do want that one published this year.

So, instead of being on the computer, I relaxed and watched television. I also did laundry first thing this morning and got my new massage gun in the mail from Amazon. I plan on using it tonight, now that it’s charged up. I also read a few chapters from Elusive – Common Sense – a middle grade book written by one of the members of my writing guild. She sent this one to a contest and won International Children’s Book award. It’s very good. I highly recommend it. You can find it on Amazon under the author name Betts Arny. You really don’t need to be eleven years old to enjoy it.

That’s my day. Very quiet. Relaxing. What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
