Day 128 – Character

Psalm 29:1 (A Psalm of David.) Give unto JEHOVAH, O you mighty ones, give unto JEHOVAH glory and strength. 2 Give unto JEHOVAH the glory due to His name, worship JEHOVAH in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of JEHOVAH is over the waters; the Elohiym of glory thunders; JEHOVAH is over many waters. 4 The voice of JEHOVAH is powerful; the voice of JEHOVAH is full of majesty. 5 The voice of JEHOVAH breaks the cedars, yes, JEHOVAH splinters the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. 7 The voice of JEHOVAH divides the flames of fire. 8 The voice of JEHOVAH shakes the wilderness; JEHOVAH shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of JEHOVAH makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare; and in His temple everyone says, “Glory!” 10 JEHOVAH sat enthroned at the flood, and JEHOVAH sits as King forever. 11 JEHOVAH will give strength to His people; JEHOVAH will bless His people with peace.

God’s names:

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Elohiym – Supreme God

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Iesous – Jesus

Christos – Messiah, Christ

God’s character:

Holy

Powerful

Majestic

King

Strength

When people introduce others to an audience, they give an account of their attributes and successes.

David gave an account of JEHOVAH’S character and accomplishments so people would know His power and majesty and why they should honor Him.

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, He recounts your attributes before the Father. Your characteristics became the same as Yeshuwa’s because His blood covers you so that the only person the Father sees is His Son.

Yeshuwa gave His disciples the same authority when He sent them out to preach the kingdom of heaven.

Luke 9:1 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. (NKJV)

You have the same authority.

John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. (NKJV)

Have you exercised your authority over Satan, or do you hold back because you don’t believe you have the authority? Satan would have you live in ignorance of what Yeshuwa taught His disciples. He doesn’t want you to know your authority in Yeshuwa.

Every characteristic David mentioned about JEHOVAH is the same characteristic the Father sees in you when you come before Him in prayer.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christos Iesous,

You have the mind of Christos because Yeshuwa lives in you. Therefore, you have the same character as Yeshuwa. It’s time to live like Yeshuwa lives in you and you have the mind of Christos and the same character.

When Satan comes against you, let him know that greater is He that is in you then he who is in the world. That is your authority and power.

Let’s pray: Father, You gave me the same power and authority as Your Son, when I accepted Him as Savior and Lord. Help me to live in the authority You gave Him so Satan will recognize His character in me when he tries to come against me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
