Before I became a good writer, I was also a good seamstress. I made this dress completely by hand without a sewing machine. I didn’t have one at the time and wanted a new dress. Even with all the weight I’ve gained since I made this, I can still wear it.

As well as being a good seamstress, I love to bake bread. I don’t do it often anymore because bread isn’t on my diet. However, when I do bake, my kids enjoy a loaf of delicious goodness. They also seem to know when I’m baking bread as they’re here as soon as it comes out of the oven. I think they have an inborn radar when I’m baking.

Several years ago, I started rock painting. When I was a kid, I couldn’t draw, let alone paint anything. My drawing and painting has improved with age. These are recent rocks I painted for Easter.

I’m also good at writing. I started writing when I was 8 years old, but began the publishing road in 1980 when I started my first book, Scarred in the top left of the book display. I published it in 2012 for the first time. It is in three editions now. The last book I published a couple of years ago is Destination Love. I’m currently writing several books, the one I’m working on most is Firestorm. The next book I will publish is Faith to Believe.
I write Christian fiction in several genres. I have the Colonial America 4-book historical series. The Island Paradise 2-book mystery series, seen on the bottom shelf of the display case, and three standalone novels. I’ve gotten mostly five star reviews on my books, which surprised me when I received the first one. I received one four star because the reader said Scarred was too long. Nobody agrees with her.
This is what I can do well. What can you do well? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The images belong to me.
