I spent an entire 31 days of eating healthy. No sweets, junk food, dairy, pasta, only meat, fish, eggs, salads, and fruit. Pretty boring. Did it work?

Back in 2016 I started on the road to weight loss. I weighed 255 pounds. I took on the Whole30 diet plan for a full year. In the first month I lost 16 pounds. Most of it water weight. I lost 30 pounds for the entire year. I then moved to Paleo where I stayed until two years ago when I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic, something I learned can happen when on the Paleo diet for too long. With trial and defeat on the weight loss front, I finally settled on the Blood Type Diet that works in harmony with your blood type, not against it.

I’m still doing the blood type diet, but came to a standstill in my weight loss. I couldn’t get out of the 190’s. Back in 2020 when I had my knee replacement surgery, I weighed 170. I had lost 80 pounds and felt good. Then I started gaining weight again. That’s when my desperation found the blood type diet and lost another 30 pounds, but I started gaining again and couldn’t get out of the 190’s. So I tried Whole30 for one month.

I will never go to Whole30 again. I lost 1.3 pounds in one month. I’m still in the 190s. 193.7 to be exact. I’m totally discouraged by the results. However, it doesn’t mean I’m giving up. It just means I’m going to do what works best for me and hope I can start seeing the scale move down again.

On a good note, I’m walking again. I walked the pond trail yesterday after being on the heating pad for almost a week. My back feels so much better. I hope it stays that way because I really need to walk and get some vital Vitamin D.

Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
