Good evening from warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. We had rain this morning and last night. Much needed.
Today has been a good day, as always.
It’s Friday. I even remembered it was Friday. Though I had to tell myself it’s June and this weekend is not a holiday weekend. Somehow I fast forwarded into July. 🤣
I’m thankful for the rain we got last night and this morning. When I went for my walk when the rain ended and before it started to heat up, I noticed the pond looked a bit better than it has been. That made me happy. When I went back around the trail this afternoon, I saw a large family of geese entering the pond. This morning, I had a surprise on the trail. A large squawking came from the trees and then above my head squawked the great blue heron as it took off for who knows where. I learned what it sounds like. It reminded me of a scratchy phonograph record.
I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm today. I got several pages done and finished chapter 15. I read it to my friends and they like it. So, I’m doing well with it so far, which makes me happy.
Okay, that’s my day. It’s doubtful I’ll be walking on the trail tomorrow. We have a heat advisory in place for tomorrow through Monday. We’re going to see temperatures in the 90s with the hottest on Sunday, and the heat index in the hundreds. I’m not looking forward to it. I’m a winter person after all, even if my birthday was misplaced to the middle of summer. I used the A/C a little bit today. I’ll use it more this weekend.
What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments? The image belongs to me.
