Day 161 – Declaration
Psalm 62:1 (To the Chief Musician. To Jeduthun. A Psalm of David.) My soul silently waits for Elohiym; from Him comes my salvation. 2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I will not be moved. 3 How long will you attack a man? You will be slain, every one of you, like a leaning wall and a tottering fence. 4 They only consult to cast him down from his high position; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah 5 My soul, wait silently for Elohiym alone, for my expectation is from Him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I will not be moved. 7 In Elohiym is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in Elohiym.
8 Trust in Him always, you people; pour out your heart before Him; Elohiym is a refuge for us. Selah 9 Men of low degree are a vapor, men of high degree are a lie; if they are weighed on the scales, they are altogether lighter than vapor. 10 Do not trust in oppression, nor hope in robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart on them. 11 Elohiym has spoken once, twice I heard this: power belongs to Elohiym. 12 Also to You, O Adonay, belongs mercy; for You render to each one according to his work.

Where is your hope? How does it make you feel when you see people act in a foolish manner? Do you shake your head in wonder? Do you say something, hoping it will make a difference? Or do you journal your thoughts and expectations?
David trusted in Elohiym. He knew where his salvation came from. He also knew what would happen to those who didn’t trust Elohiym.
Yeshuwa described the scribes and Pharisees as hypocrites.
Matthew 23:23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin and neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone. 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel! 25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee, first cleanse the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside of them may be clean also. 27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly but inside are full of dead men’s bones and every uncleanness. 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. 29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Therefore, you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. 33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?
Many Christians tell themselves they don’t act like the people they see as foolish while doing the same things they do. They agree with both their Christian leaders, while at the same time go along with those who say and do things contrary to their faith. You can’t straddle both sides of the fence. If you’re a Christian, live like one in every way. You can’t side with Yeshuwa on Sunday and live like the devil the rest of the week.
1 Corinthians 10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. 16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christos? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christos? 17 For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. 18 Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifice’s partakers of the altar? 19 What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? 20 Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. 21 You cannot drink the cup of the Kurios and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Kurios’ table and of the table of demons. 22 Or do we provoke the Kurios to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
You cannot walk in both worlds. You are either for Yeshuwa or Satan. David knew where his salvation came from and rejoiced in his salvation. He also knew what would become of those who didn’t trust Elohiym but in themselves alone and did whatever they wanted.
Decide today who you will follow, Yeshuwa or Satan. The answer should be obvious if you claim to be a Christian. However, do your actions declare you to be a Christian?
Joshua 24:14 “Now therefore, fear JEHOVAH, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the elohiym which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve JEHOVAH! 15 If it seems evil to you to serve JEHOVAH, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the elohiym which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the elohiym of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve JEHOVAH.”
You alone know whether your actions line up with your declaration that you belong to Yeshuwa. Examine yourself and get rid of everything that compromises your faith. Then people will believe you’re a Christian.
Let’s pray: Father, show me what I need to get rid of so my actions and declaration of You as my King and my God will hold true. I don’t want to be a hypocrite, saying one thing and doing another. Help me live wholly for You in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
