Day 166 – Blessings
Psalm 67:1 (To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.) Elohiym be merciful to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah 2 That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among the nations. 3 Let the people praise You, O Elohiym; let everyone praise You. 4 Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You will judge the people righteously and govern the nations on earth. Selah 5 Let the people praise You, O Elohiym; let everyone praise You. 6 Then the earth will yield her increase; Elohiym, our Elohiym, will bless us. 7 Elohiym will bless us, and the ends of the earth will fear Him.
God’s names:
Elohiym – Supreme God
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Merciful
Salvation
Judge
Righteous
Ruler
Everyone wants good things in their lives. They don’t want to live from crisis to crisis.
The psalmist praises Elohiym for His mercy and salvation to the nations, not only Israel. He also asked the people to praise Him because He showed them His favor.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you wanted to sing His praises so everyone would know how much you loved Him. You wanted everyone to know the same joy you have in your salvation. You also wanted His blessings in your life.
When you obey Yeshuwa and give Him praise, He will bless you. Satan will try to sabotage your blessings, but when you spend time in His Word, pray, seek His face, spend time with other believers, his chance of sabotaging your faith becomes less and Yeshuwa’s blessings become more.
How has Yeshuwa blessed you? Give Him praise and watch His blessings multiply.
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for Your many blessings in my life. Let my praise come before You often, showing You my gratitude and love for everything You do for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
