Describe your most memorable vacation.

My most memorable vacation wasn’t taken with my family, but with my friend who became my best friend over the course of our three day vacation on Washington Island, Wisconsin. This picture was taken on our second trip to the island a couple of years ago in summer when we could enjoy the lavender fields.

Washington Island might be a small island as indicated in the first picture, but there is a lot to see.

On our first trip, we climbed this tower. I’m not one who likes heights but this one wasn’t bad to climb with it enclosed as it is going up. From here we could see the entire island, or at least it seemed like it.

The darker blue that meets the sky is the Bay of Green Bay. Here you can see it’s fall. We went in October and the color was simply amazing.

We stayed at Cedar Lodge. As you can see it’s right on the Bay. Everywhere you go on the island is beautiful.

This is a church on the island.

As you can see the inside of this church is fascinating and beautiful. They still do weddings in the church.

We also visited a working farm also a museum.

Washington Island also has a small airport for emergencies so they can get people back to the mainland for medical attention.

No matter what time of year you go to Washington Island, it’s beautiful. It was the best vacation I went on and I did it with my best friend.

What was your best vacation? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The images belong to me.
