Good evening from warm Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s 78 F right now, but did get into the low 80s today. Alexa lied again. We weren’t supposed to hit the 80s. It’s getting ready to rain. It’s supposed to later tonight. We need it.

Today was a good day. The adage, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again is appropriate for today.

Monday, I went to DMV to learn I didn’t have my driver’s license and needed other important documents to prove who I am. Try number one. Today, my neighbor took me early this morning. I had my birth certificate, two bills showing my address, and my Social Security card along with a couple of other documents just in case I needed them. I didn’t. All was going well until I got to the counter. One of the bills was unacceptable. Try number two. We left, went to Spectrum for a copy of the bill and returned to DMV. Third time’s a charm. I will receive my driver’s license with the star on it in the mail next week. She also waived the additional fee since I came right back. I’m very thankful I have that done for another eight years.

I’m thankful for breakfast between DMV and Spectrum. They offer gluten-free pancakes. 👍

I’m thankful the morning wasn’t a complete waste of time. We finished off the morning with a trip to Costco to exchange shorts for my neighbor. I also remembered the one item I forgot yesterday, Avocado Oil Mayo. Summer’s here and that means more salads than casseroles.

I’m thankful I have all my steps and heart points for the day. I achieved that with a trip to the office when I got back. The office assistant wanted to see a letter I got in the mail from Housing several months ago about something taking place the first of the new year, 2026. She thought it was a rumor. She now has a copy of this important letter.

I’m thankful I could be with you today and read your powerful words. You always make my day brighter when I can be with you.

Okay, that’s my day. No time to write again today. I have no plans for tomorrow, so I will work on Firestorm tomorrow.
