Day 175 – Judgment
Psalm 76:1 (To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.) In Judah Elohiym is known; His name is great in Israel. 2 In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion. 3 There He broke the arrows of the bow, the shield and sword of battle. Selah 4 You are more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. 5 The stouthearted were plundered; they have sunk into their sleep; and none of the mighty men found the use of their hands. 6 At Your rebuke, O Elohiym of Jacob, both the chariot and horse were cast into a dead sleep.
7 You, Yourself, are to be feared; and who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry? 8 You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still, 9 when Elohiym arose to judgment, to deliver the oppressed of the earth. Selah 10 The wrath of man will praise You; with the remainder of wrath, You will gird Yourself. 11 Make vows to JEHOVAH your Elohiym and pay them; let everyone around Him bring presents to Him who ought to be feared. 12 He will cut off the spirit of princes; He is awesome to the kings of the earth.

Do you know people who make you afraid? When you hear about them, they cause you to tremble. You know what they did in the past and worry that they will continue to cause trouble for you.
Asaph sung about Elohiym’s fierce wrath against His enemies and praised Him for taking care of His people in battle. He told the people they were to be quick to pay their vows to Elohiym because He was glorious and excellent to His people, but angry and just in His wrath to their enemies. He told the people to fear, reverence Him and give Him praise because He is awesome.
Do you count yourself a child of Elohiym? Have you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Kurios? Do you give Him praise and honor for everything He does for you?
When you take time to give Yeshuwa praise and thanks for everything He does for you, you will see the many blessings He gives you every day. Then you will see how He defends you against your enemies. You will see how He keeps you safe throughout the day. You will have nothing to fear when Satan comes against you because you know Yeshuwa defeated him on the cross and He will cause him to flee from you when you call on His name for protection.
Asaph showed that the only people who should be afraid of Elohiym were those who came against His people. Everyone else should pay their vows and praise Him. You should do the same, give Him praise for everything He does for you.
Let’s pray: Father, I give You praise for keeping me safe against my enemy, Satan. His purpose is to destroy me. Your purpose is to keep me safe. I praise You and give You thanks. Thank you for Your protection and let my praise always come before You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
