Day 186 – Home
Psalm 87:1 (A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song.) His foundation is in the holy mountains. 2 JEHOVAH loves the gates of Zion more than the dwellings of Jacob. 3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of Elohiym! Selah
4 “I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to those who know Me; behold, O Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia: ‘This one was born there.’” 5 Of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her; and Elyown Himself will establish her.” 6 JEHOVAH will record, when He registers the peoples: “This one was born there.” Selah 7 Both the singers and the players on instruments say, “My springs are in you.”
God’s names:

Yeshuwa – Jesus
Theos – Supreme Divinity
Melek – King
God’s character:
Glorious
Most people know where they were born. When a city is famous it sometimes makes people proud of the city of their birth.
The sons of Korah sung about the glory of Jerusalem and the honor it gave them to have been born there and for those who can claim their heritage from Jerusalem, the city JEHOVAH loves and dwells in its temple.
For Christians, Jerusalem should be a place of honor. We might not have been born in Jerusalem or Israel, but it is still our home. One day we will all live in Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 I, John, saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from Theos out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of Theos is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and Theos will be with them, and be their Theos.
When Yeshuwa returns as Melek over the whole earth, then our home will be with Him in Jerusalem. It will be a glorious day, a day of great celebration. Then we will sing songs of praise and thanksgiving for everything Yeshuwa has done.
Do you wait for the day when Yeshuwa returns for His bride? Are you ready to live in New Jerusalem and call it your home?
Let’s pray: Father, thank you for giving me a home with You in New Jerusalem when Your Son returns for His bride. I will always praise You and give You thanks for saving me and calling me Your child. Let those who know me know I am Your child because I worship You and sing Your praises. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
