Day 192 – Majesty
Psalm 93:1 JEHOVAH reigns, He is clothed with majesty; JEHOVAH is clothed, He girded Himself with strength. The world is established; it cannot be moved. 2 Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. 3 The floods lifted, O JEHOVAH, the floods lifted their voice; the floods lift their waves. 4 JEHOVAH on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea. 5 Your testimonies are sure; holiness adorns Your house, O JEHOVAH, forever.
God’s names:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Sovereign
Majesty
Strength
Mighty
Holy
When people travel throughout the world, they see the beauty of the world in its magnificent wonder. One place is no more stunning than another.
The psalmist give glory to JEHOVAH for His majesty, strength, and holiness in everything He created. He alone established the earth. Nothing will move it from its place. In the same way, His testimonies are sure, immoveable. His holiness adorns His house forever.
David wrote: Psalm 8:3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?
Like the psalmist, he saw JEHOVAH’S majesty and it moved him to sing about His glory in creation.
Do you give Yeshuwa praise when you travel this world and behold its beauty? Do you stare in wonder at His creation?
Science says this world has come to be because of evolution. Yet they cannot explain the intricacies of Yeshuwa’s creation. They keep coming to a roadblock in their explanations. They cannot link anything fully back to the beginning. However, JEHOVAH can and does. His creation is full of wonder and amazement. He formed every intricate detail, gave it a name and place so that you can experience the wonder of His creation.
When you sing about Yeshuwa’s majesty, do you consider the scope of what you sing about? Yeshuwa’s infinite power and might in creation stuns the imagination. No one can stand in awe and wonder of His creation without giving praise for the beauty Yeshuwa created.
Do you consider yourself in Yeshuwa’s creation? The psalmist said you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.
When you step outside today, notice JEHOVAH’S creation and give Him praise. Worship Him who is holy, filled with majesty and strength, and looks on you, His creation with love and mercy.
Let’s pray: Father, You bring me to my knees with Your wonder and glory in everything You created. You fill me with awe when I look at the beautiful world, the stars I see in the heavens, the animals, birds, fish, and the plant life You created. Give me a sense of Your awesome majesty in creation and let my praise always come before You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
