Eating out can get expensive. Every day meals at home are more affordable. However, when it comes to special occasions, such as holidays and birthdays, the money adds up to put a good meal on the table.
The most I ever spent on a meal was perhaps in the triple digits. I make a leg of lamb for Easter. Lamb is expensive, so by the time you add in the vegetables and desserts you have both a pricey meal and the people you enjoy it with. Yes, it’s worth it. I get to enjoy the company of the best people you know, and there are always leftovers to enjoy during the week. Leftovers bring the price of that meal down and makes it more affordable.
You can see what I made for dinner: Lamb, mashed potatoes with garlic and sour cream, asparagus, fruit salad, fresh fruit, strawberries for strawberry shortcake, and angel food cake. You also see my son with me in the picture. His girlfriend took the picture. It was a lovely day, which also made the amount spent on it well worth it. We also celebrated my son’s birthday, which is almost always around Easter.
What was your most expensive meal? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
