The profession I admire most are missionaries. When I was young, I wanted to be a missionary, but never got the opportunity, though I applied. It wasn’t what God wanted for me. However, I admire those who aren’t afraid to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (NKJV)
There are many missionaries on the front lines in places where it is dangerous for them to preach the gospel because it’s a death sentence for them.
God reminds me every day that I am a missionary, though I don’t go to the nations in the ordinary way, but I still go to the nations by way of the Internet when I post my Daily Bible Study. I might not be in danger of my life working in my home as I do, but I am still presenting the gospel to whoever wants to read my daily offerings.
I admire anyone who preaches the gospel, at home, abroad, or by way of the Internet. They are all doing what Jesus commanded in the Great Commission: to go throughout the world and preach the gospel to every nation.
