Life can get hectic and overwhelming at times. In those times, I look for a reason for so much chaos and usually find I forgot the most important thing in my life: to pray and seek God as soon as I wake up in the morning. When I do that every morning as soon as I open my eyes, my day brings peace and joy.
However, there are days when I do everything right: pray, do my Bible study, spend time with Jesus at the beginning of the day, and still there’s no peace. My life looks like a storm about to descend and I don’t have anything to protect me. That’s when I realize where the storm came from, Satan, and call out to Jesus to help me, and He brings calm back into my life.
Jesus wants me to know, He is my peace. He will bring me through every trouble Satan brings against me. I only need to call on Him for Him to act on my behalf.
Psalm 91:15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. (NKJV)
Jeremiah 29:12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (NKJV)
Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ (NKJV)
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NKJV)
Ephesians 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. (NKJV)
My peace comes from Jesus, the author of peace in my life.
