Day 211 – God’s Character

Psalm 112:1 Praise YAHH! Blessed is the man who fears JEHOVAH, who delights in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. 4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. 5 A good man deals graciously and lends; he will guide his affairs with discretion.

 6 He will never be shaken; the righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. 7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in JEHOVAH. 8 His heart is established; he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies. 9 He dispersed abroad; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted with honor. 10 The wicked will see it and be grieved; he will gnash his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked will perish.

God’s names:

YAHH – Sacred name, Jah the Lord

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit

God’s character:

Righteous

Gracious

Compassionate

Exalted

Honor

Do people know who you are when they see you? Does your character stand out for everyone to see?

The psalmist showed what kind of people would wear JEHOVAH’S character, those who trusted in Him, dispersed abroad, gave to the poor, and showed compassion to everyone. Those who didn’t fear JEHOVAH would grieve when they saw His righteous people.

When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you put on His character. Do you still wear His character? Do you display compassion, righteousness, and grace everywhere you go? Do you display the fruit of the Pneuma in your life?

Galatians 5:22 However, the fruit of the Pneuma is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

When you wear Yeshuwa’s character, people notice. Satan trembles and can do nothing to you, though he will try. When you wear Yeshuwa’s character like a garment, nothing can harm you.

Clothe yourself today in Yeshuwa’s character and watch Satan flee from you.

Let’s pray: Father, I stand before You clothed in the fruit of the Spirit. Let me see Satan flee because I trust You to keep me safe. Bless me and let Your grace fall on me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
