Good evening from cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s 73 F. Our high was 72 F today. There’s been a breeze too, which made it nice.

I’m thankful for today. I woke up with the intention of not going anywhere today, even though I know today was rock painting. I just wanted a me day. The only thing about today I needed to remember was prayer tonight. As I started this, completely oblivious to the day, I saw it was 5:58, put this on hold and rushed up to the third floor.

I’m thankful for prayer night here and getting in front of God for prayer concerns of the residents, one in particular makes it a point to show up to give us his prayer requests. He doesn’t stick around for prayer time, but we add his requests to those of the other residents we know about and the concerns for events happening in the world, such as Hurricane Erin causing trouble on the east coast. I am always blessed by prayer time.

I’m thankful for the quiet day today which allowed me to do things in my time and not according to a specific time schedule. I got my walk this morning around the pond. It’s been a beautiful week with temperatures in the 70s. I enjoyed wearing my hoodie for the third day in a row without worrying about air quality, which was in the green for the second day in a row and no rain so I could walk outside.

I’m thankful for the posts I read today. You are amazing writers, giving me food for thought, putting smiles on my face, and giving me that article I can relate fully to. If the world doesn’t know you, they’re missing out. I’m glad to know your work and get to know you individually as much as is possible in a virtual world. Everyday I meet new people here who bless me in countless ways.

I’m thankful for the work I did on Firestorm. I thought I would interject a new chapter, but maybe not. We’ll see. I read what I did today to my friend down the hall and she loved the additions which were necessary. I’m not finished yet. We’ll see if I can work on it tomorrow. I hope so.

I also played my games. It felt good to just relax without needing to be anywhere. Today’s ‘me’ day was just what I needed. I’m so blessed and thankful.

What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
