Day 215 – Submission

Psalm 116:1 I love JEHOVAH, because He heard my voice and my supplications. 2 Because He inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. 3 The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. 4 Then I called upon the name of JEHOVAH: “O JEHOVAH, I implore You, deliver my soul!” 5 Gracious is JEHOVAH, and righteous; Yes, our Elohiym is merciful. 6 JEHOVAH preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. 7 Return to your rest, O my soul, For JEHOVAH dealt bountifully with you. 8 For You delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. 9 I will walk before JEHOVAH in the land of the living.

10 I believed, therefore I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.” 11 I said in my haste, “All men are liars.” 12 What will I render to JEHOVAH for His benefits toward me? 13 I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of JEHOVAH. 14 I will pay my vows to JEHOVAH now in the presence of His people. 15 Precious in the sight of JEHOVAH is the death of His saints. 16 O JEHOVAH, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You loosed my bonds. 17 I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of JEHOVAH. 18 I will pay my vows to JEHOVAH now in the presence of His people, 19 in the courts of JEHOVAH’S house, in the middle of you, O Jerusalem. Praise YAHH!

Who do you love and enjoy spending time with because they listen to you, don’t judge you, and help you?

The psalmist loved JEHOVAH because He listened to Him, heard his prayers, delivered him from people who intended to harm him. Because JEHOVAH helped him, he promised to pay his vows and walk in His Law every day. He would give thanks to JEHOVAH because He blessed his soul.

Do you love Yeshuwa in the same way the psalmist loved JEHOVAH? Do you keep your promises to Him and spend time with Him because He hears your prayers? Do you remember how He saved you when you accepted Him as Savior and Lord?

Too often Christians forget what Yeshuwa did for them when they accepted Him as Savior and Lord. They forget the promises they made to Him and continue to live their lives without regard to the promises they made to Him. Only when they face trouble, do they remember they are Christians and pray to Him for help.

The psalmist loved JEHOVAH. He spent time with Him daily. He praised JEHOVAH every day.

What does your life look like? Does Satan worry about you? Bring trouble to your life, or does he sit on the sideline laughing because you forgot the vows you made to Yeshuwa?

Christianity is an everyday response of your soul to Yeshuwa. It’s spending time with Him daily in His Word, praying, seeking His will for your life, gathering with other believers around Yeshuwa’s Word so you will know His will for your life. It’s giving Satan heart failure because your life is interwoven with Yeshuwa’s so much that he cannot bring trouble your way. It’s making demons tremble because they know who you are and the Rock you stand on.

If your life is troubled by Satan and his demons, give Yeshuwa praise and thanksgiving. If Satan doesn’t bother with you, give your life to Yeshuwa once again and watch Him break Satan’s chains off your life. Tune your life to Yeshuwa. Pray, study your Bible, gather with believers around Yeshuwa’s Word, go to church, attend Bible study, put your entire focus on Yeshuwa and you will shake the gates of Sheol. When you do, your soul will rejoice with praise and thanksgiving for the many benefits and blessings you receive daily.

Let’s pray: Father, forgive me for putting my focus on the world and not on You. Give me Your blessings as I recommit my life to You, seek Your will for my life, and give my life to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
