Day 216 – Praise
Psalm 117:1 Praise JEHOVAH, you Gentiles! Laud Him, you, people! 2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of JEHOVAH endures forever. Praise YAHH!
God’s names:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
YAHH – Sacred name, Jah the Lord
Yeshuwa – Jesus
Theos – Supreme Divinity
Iesous – Jesus
Christos – Anointed One, Messiah
Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
God’s character:
Merciful
Kind
Truth
Eternal
Do you need a reason to praise someone, to extol their virtues and what they did for people?
The psalmist told the people to praise JEHOVAH because of his merciful loving kindness and His truth endured forever.
People will gravitate to those who show kindness to others. For Christians, no one showed more kindness than JEHOVAH when He sent His Son to be born of a woman, live on the earth and tell the people about the kingdom of heaven. Yeshuwa did more than tell. He showed people through His example how much JEHOVAH loved them, and then He went a step further by dying on the cross for your sins and mine and rising on the third day for yours and my salvation. There is no greater love. There is no greater mercy or kindness.
John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (NKJV)
John 3:16 “For Theos so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
When you understand the sacrifice Yeshuwa gave for your soul, you will accept Him as Savior and Lord. You will want to lay your life down for others so they can know Him. Missionaries always put their lives on the line for the gospel of Iesous Christos. Early church Christians gave their lives in Roman arenas for Iesous.
What are you willing to give for the gospel? Let your praise pour from you as you demonstrate your love for Yeshuwa.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of Theos, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Theos, which is your reasonable service. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of Theos.
1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of Theos in Christos Iesous for you. 19 Do not quench the Pneuma.
Do what the psalmist and Paul said, praise Yeshuwa in everything, always. Do not cease praising Him for every blessing He pours out on you daily, moment by moment.
Psalm 63:3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You.
Let’s pray: Father, let my praise pour from me because of your continual blessings on my life. Let me show everyone Your love and mercy in everything I say and do. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
