Good afternoon from breezy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It’s been a beautiful day. I opened the patio door and let the fresh breeze come wafting through.

Today, I’m thankful for another day of life, a day when I can give God the total credit for every blessing He gives me, and He gives me many blessings.

I’m thankful for my health. Many people my age are on many prescriptions. I have my handful, but mostly they’re supplements I need. I have one prescription in my pill minder, and I have one injection I need every six weeks. Though I tried to talk the doctor out of that one when I came up clean after my last colonoscopy. No trace of colitis. He’s afraid it might come back, so I need to continue the injections. I have a God who heals, so I know it won’t come back.

I’m thankful for a wonderful place to live. Homelessness runs rampant through Green Bay and across many cities throughout the world. I have a home, with clean drinking water, a bed to sleep in, and friends to share my day with.

I’m thankful that I can walk unaided on the trails. Many people my age use walkers and are restricted in how much walking they can do. I still get my steps every day and a lot more than the app requires.

I’m thankful for my mind. I don’t need to wonder about dementia and Alzheimer’s as many people, including my mother at my age who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and died of it many years ago. I’m active and I keep my mind active.

God is faithful in the many blessings He has given me. I know if I didn’t have Him in my life, my story and my blessings could be a lot different. I could be homeless, wondering when I would get my next meal. However, I’m not. I serve a wonderful God who takes care of my needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. Praise the name of Jesus!

What are you thankful for today? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.
