I had many favorite television shows when I was growing up. I was what I call myself, a TVholic. My main favorites were westerns with my ultimate favorite Bonanza. I also liked Big Valley, High Chaparral, Virginian, and many others. My parents were the ones who decided what we watched. However, I had my favorites and watched them as often as I could. Among other favorites were Hogan’s Heroes, Rat Patrol, Star Trek, and the Fugitive, to name a few.
I never grew out of my love for television. I’m still a TVholic. Though I limit my viewing to a few hours at night before I go to bed. Not all day as it was for most of my life. I don’t watch westerns as much as I did as a kid. Now you will find me watching Sci-Fi greats – Star Wars, Star Gate, Star Trek. You get the idea. I’m also a superhero fan. I like Batman and watched it as a kid. I also watched Superman as a kid and also today. I’ve seen all the movies. Do you remember the Green Hornet? It was also a superhero favorite as a kid. And yes, I also watched Bewitched.
Those were the days when television was at its finest, when it was clean and you could watch an entire episode without hearing one foul word. Imagine what television and movies would be like today without those words gumming up your ears?
