Day 227 – Trust
Psalm 119:73 YOD. Your hands made me and fashioned me; give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
74 Those who fear You will be glad when they see me, because I hoped in Your word.
75 I know, O JEHOVAH, that Your judgments are right, and that in faithfulness You afflicted me.
76 Let, I pray, Your merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to Your word to Your servant. 77 Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; for Your law is my delight.
78 Let the proud be ashamed, for they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; but I will meditate on Your precepts. 79 Let those who fear You turn to me, those who know Your testimonies.
80 Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
God’s names:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Faithful

Kind
Tender Mercies
When people receive positions or assignments, they expect that the person who put them in their position or gave them their assignment would instruct them in how to do the work given to them.
The psalmist told JEHOVAH, You made me and fashioned me. Give me understanding to learn Your commandments. He expected JEHOVAH to give him what he needed to do his work. The psalmist had one job – to study the Law. He was a Levite who worked in the temple and served JEHOVAH faithfully. He wanted JEHOVAH’S faithfulness and tender mercies to guide him so he wouldn’t bring shame to Him. He also wanted those who mistreated him to know he trusted JEHOVAH.
As Christians, do you ask Yeshuwa to give you what you need to do His work? Or do you believe you know what is expected of you? Christians are in two ranks: those who rely on Yeshuwa to guide them in everything He called them to do, and those who believe they know what He wants from them and go in their own strength to do the work. Going in your own strength and understanding doesn’t work. You need to rely on Yeshuwa to guide you in the work He gives you.
When you seek Yeshuwa as the psalmist sought JEHOVAH, you will have everything you need to fulfill the work He gave you to do for Him. You won’t bring shame to the work, and those who scoff at you for being a Christian and trusting Yeshuwa will see the work completed as you trust in Yeshuwa.
What work did Yeshuwa call you to do for Him? Ask for His help and He will guide you in everything you need to do. Then you won’t bring shame to the work because you rely on Him to help you.
Let’s pray: Father, help me fulfill the work You gave me to do. I rely on You to guide me in everything I need to carry out Your work in me. Don’t let me bring shame to the work by going in my strength and not Yours. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
