Day 230 – Knowledge
Psalm 119:97 MEM. Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation throughout the day.
98 You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. 99 I have more understanding than my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. 100 I understand more than the ancients, because I keep Your precepts.
101 I restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your word.
102 I have not departed from Your judgments, for You Yourself taught me.
103 How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104 Through Your precepts I get understanding; therefore, I hate every false way.
God’s names:
Yeshuwa – Jesus
Theos – Supreme Divinity
Pneuma – Violent Wind, Breath, Spirit
God’s character:
Teacher
How often do you consider yourself smarter than the person teaching you? Did you try to teach the teacher? What about your parents who taught you from the moment you were born, did you try to educate them when you thought you knew more than they?
The psalmist made a valid boast about his knowledge of the Law and how much those around him didn’t know because their depth of understanding wasn’t as great as his. They didn’t study the Law as extensively as he did. The psalmist meditated on the Law night and day.
Can you make a valid boast about your knowledge of Yeshuwa’s Word? Do you come off as a know-it-all among your Christian peers? Do you study Yeshuwa’s Word, rely on Him to lead you in His truth, and depend on Him to give you His Word before you open your mouth? If so, then maybe you can boast about your knowledge of Yeshuwa’s Word. Don’t boast too loudly. There will always be someone more knowledgeable than you.
What you can’t do is make a boast about your knowledge of the Bible when you don’t go to church, spend quality time in Bible study and prayer, or go to Bible study.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to Theos, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
People will listen to you when you spend time at Yeshuwa’s feet, learning from Him. They will see the validity of what you say because they will understand the words you speak are Pneuma breathed.
Make it a point to spend quality time with Yeshuwa. Start today. When you do, you will see a change in your life as you read and study His Word.
Let’s pray: Father, settle Your Word in my heart. Breathe Your Word into my life as I read and study Your Word. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
