Today is Wednesday. Every Wednesday evening, I gather with other residents in the third floor lounge to pray for the prayer requests we received from other residents, pray for the management of the complex we live in, pray for situations of concern locally and nationally, pray for our government, and pray for Israel.
1Timothy 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
(NKJV)
When I moved into this complex, the Lord put it on my heart to start a prayer meeting. With all the activities the complex enjoys, Wednesday evening was the only day available. I let people in the building know there would be a prayer meeting every Wednesday. We’re a small group, but it doesn’t matter how small, Jesus said when two or three pray in His name, He is there in our midst. He meets with us in prayer every week. It’s a blessed time.
