I love to cook and bake. It isn’t often when I make something that is an epic fail. I don’t normally use recipes. I use ingredients on hand and put them together for something fun and tasty.
The last time I used a recipe for a mug cake, it was a huge fail. I mixed all the ingredients together as the recipe instructed, put it in the microwave for the indicated time and waited. When I took it out of the microwave, it wasn’t cake. It was batter. I put it in the microwave for another couple of minutes. Still the same. I threw out the recipe. I ate the batter. The batter was good, it just didn’t turn into cake.
Life can be like that cake recipe. You can do everything right and still end up in a mess. There is one recipe book that works without fail. It’s called the Bible. If you apply everything you want for your life, but leave out the main ingredient, you will fail. It’s only when you apply the most important ingredient to your life, that you won’t fail, but you will win the prize of the upward calling in Christ Jesus, eternal life. The most important ingredient for life is the blood of Jesus Christ. Apply liberally and watch your life turn from an epic failure to an epic victory.
