Day 244 – Protection
Psalm 125:1 (A Song of Ascents.) Those who trust in JEHOVAH are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so JEHOVAH surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. 3 For the scepter of wickedness will not rest on the land allotted to the righteous, lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
4 Do good, O JEHOVAH, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts. 5 As for such as turning aside to their crooked ways, JEHOVAH will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!
God’s names:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Protector
Can people trust you? Where does your loyalty lie? Do you see blessings in your life?
The psalmist knew that only those who trusted in JEHOVAH would be immoveable in their faith. They would see JEHOVAH’S hand on their lives. However, those who didn’t trust Him, He would remove from the land.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you also received every promise JEHOVAH gave His people. JEHOVAH promised to protect His people. Yeshuwa protects everyone who calls on His name for salvation. He surrounds them and protects their land from Satan. However, if you don’t put your trust in Him, you won’t find protection or blessings in your life, only hardship.
Do you live in Yeshuwa’s blessings? Does He surround you with His goodness? Does He protect your life? Give Him praise. If not, turn from your lifestyle and put your trust in Yeshuwa. When you do, you will find peace and safety in your life along with His countless blessings.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your hand of blessing rest on me. Protect me from Satan and surround me with your love because I trust in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
