Day 245 – Harvest

Psalm 126:1 (A Song of Ascents.) When JEHOVAH brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. 2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “JEHOVAH did great things for them.” 3 JEHOVAH did great things for us, and we are glad.

4 Bring back our captivity, O JEHOVAH, as the streams in the South. 5 Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. 6 He who always goes forth weeping, bearing seeds for sowing, will doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

God’s names:

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Yeshuwa – Jesus

Kurios – Supreme Authority

God’s character:

Restorer

When people face trouble, they look for an end when they will face freedom from those things that bound them and held them in their grip. When freedom comes, they rejoice.

The psalmist exalted JEHOVAH who brought His people back to their homeland. They rejoiced with laughter and singing as they sowed seeds in their homeland amid tears of joy knowing they would bring sheaves again to the temple.

When Yeshuwa freed you from bondage to Satan and his hold on you, you rejoiced with tears of joy. You laughed in your salvation. It was a moment of freedom you never experienced before. Songs of salvation fell from your lips, and you rejoiced with everyone who prayed for your salvation.

Those who prayed for you, planted seeds of salvation often with tears, knowing the day of your salvation would bring a harvest of joy in heaven when the angels would sing for joy over you.

Isaiah 55:10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so will My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me void, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 For you will go out with joy and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into singing before you, and the trees of the field will clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn, will come the cypress tree, and instead of the brier will come the myrtle tree; and it will be to JEHOVAH for a name, for an everlasting sign that will not be cut off.”

Matthew 9:37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore, pray the Kurios of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Luke 15:7 “I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. (NKJV)

Did you accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord? Rejoice! If you have not accepted Him, there is still time for you to do so. Let heaven rejoice over you with singing.

Let’s pray: Father, thank you for my salvation. Let me always praise You and rejoice in my salvation. Let me plant seeds in others so they too can know the joy of salvation You promise to everyone. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
