Day 252 – Unity

Psalm 133:1 (A Song of Ascents. Of David.) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, Aaron’s beard, running down on the edge of his garments. 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there JEHOVAH commanded the blessing—life forevermore.

God’s names:

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Yeshuwa – Jesus

God’s character:

Blesser

People want peace. It’s sung about, spoken about in speeches, and longed for among people everywhere.

David described what it would be like if everyone lived together in unity. It’s a picture of perfect peace and harmony.

What would it be like if Christians got along? If they didn’t act like the world and try to tear each other apart? I have my faults. I’m as guilty as the next person. I try to live the way Yeshuwa would have me live, but I fall short every day. So do you. None of us is perfect.

Yeshuwa died for our faults, our shortcomings, our sins. He wants to see peace as much as the rest of us. However, He knew when He lived among the people that people were imperfect, untrustworthy, rebellious, but they were worth saving.

What can you do to bring peace and unity to your life?

Let’s pray: Father, forgive me and help me live in unity and peace with everyone. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
