Day 254 – Celebration

Psalm 135:1 Praise YAHH! Praise the name of JEHOVAH; praise Him, O you servants of JEHOVAH! 2 You who stand in the house of JEHOVAH, in the courts of the house of our Elohiym, 3 praise YAHH, for JEHOVAH is good; sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant. 4 For YAHH chose Jacob for Himself, Israel for His special treasure.

 5 For I know JEHOVAH is great, and our Adown is above every elohiym. 6 Whatever JEHOVAH pleases He does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and in deep places. 7 He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries. 8 He destroyed the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast. 9 He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and his servants. 10 He defeated many nations and slew mighty kings— 11 Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and the kingdoms of Canaan— 12 and gave their land as a heritage, a heritage to Israel His people. 13 Your name, O JEHOVAH, endures forever, Your fame, O JEHOVAH, throughout every generation. 14 For JEHOVAH will judge His people, and He will have compassion on His servants.

 15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. 16 They have mouths, but they do not speak; eyes they have, but they do not see; 17 they have ears, but they do not hear; nor is there any breath in their mouths. 18 Those who make them are like them; so is everyone who trusts in them. 19 Bless JEHOVAH, O house of Israel! Bless JEHOVAH, O house of Aaron! 20 Bless JEHOVAH, O house of Levi! You who fear JEHOVAH, bless JEHOVAH! 21 Blessed be JEHOVAH out of Zion, who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise YAHH!

JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal

Elohiym – Supreme God

YAHH – Sacred name, Jah the Lord

Adown – Sovereign

Yeshuwa – Jesus

God’s character:

Good

Great

Sovereign

Judge

Compassionate

What do you do when everything goes right? You celebrate! You let everyone know your good news and what happened to bring about the celebration.

The psalmist praised JEHOVAH for everything He did for His people. He wanted everyone in Israel to celebrate with him and praise YAHH for His goodness to them.

You have a reason to praise Yeshuwa for everything He did for you. As JEHOVAH brought the Israelites out of bondage to Egypt and overthrew the kingdoms in Canaan and gave the land to Israel as their heritage, Yeshuwa defeated Satan on the cross and gave you eternal life with Him in heaven. Heaven is your Promised Land. Every day should be a celebration of praise for everything Yeshuwa did and continues to do for you.

You are in a season of celebration. You don’t need to wait for special holidays to praise Yeshuwa. You can praise Him and celebrate His goodness to You and the blessings He gives you every day.

Don’t wait. Today is the day of celebration and praise for His salvation and your inheritance in heaven.

Let’s pray: Father, I give You praise and celebrate You for everything You do for me every day. Bless me because I praise You and tell everyone about Your goodness to me. Let Your joy fill me to overflowing as I praise Your holy name. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
